While this cannot replace a standalone logo design and vector illustration app, designers can use it to complement their existing apps. A "Layers" add-on for Adobe Ideas 1.2 can be downloaded by paying $5. This option is available only from its interface though which can be a little inconvenient for users.

Adobe allows users to zoom screen space in this app, which is really helpful for logo graphic design professionals. They can examine parts of an artwork by zooming it and rectify aligning and symmetrical issues thereafter. It also offers multiple Redo and Undo steps. Using Layers add on for this app gives a designer precise control on each element in a design.

Ideas 1.2 has an Organizer that eases workflow for design professionals. A designer using this app can use up to 10 layers including a photo layer. As is the case with PC versions of Adobe apps, Adobe Ideas users can change layer opacity, make layers invisible and reorder layers. Photo layer cannot be edited but users can alter its opacity.

This app offers a useful Photo Color Extraction feature. It is a nice addition to familiar Adobe color palette. Adobe Ideas now offers VGA output. It means designers can now see their designs on larger monitors by using an Apple VGA adapter. Any designer working with vector apps for making sketches and designs will appreciate export capability in print friendly formats. A vector app with plenty of export and saving options is ideal for logo and brochure design. From this perspective, Ideas 1.2 scores well. It offers Export as PDF option for its users.

When you export its files in PDF, vector information is preserved which means it can be opened and edited in Adobe Illustrator. This is ideal for logo designers. They can jot down a basic idea in sketch using this app on the move and later work on it in Illustrator easily.
